ford explorer 97' con codigo PO401...alguien puede ayudarme !!!!!!!

/ saludos a todos ; senores tengo un problema con mi ford explorer 97' 6cil. motor v6 con codigo PO401. no se que hacer se jalonea entre las 35 y45 millas y consume mucha gasolina, ya limpie la valbula EGR ,selenoide, y ya no se que mas rebisar alguien me podria orientar no pasa la emission gracias ojala alguien me pueda ayudar gracias ...jose

checa q las mangueras de vacio esten bien conectadas y q no esten rotas o tapadas y si ala selenoide le llaga corriente espero te sirva suerte

.....hola daniel te agradesco mucho .fue el sensor ya lo cambie y con eso me paso el emission test. y ahora resulto dos dias despues me ensendio de nuevo la luz CHEC ENGINE' y ahora resulto con PO455 , me podrias asesorar de nuevo xfavor .perdon amigo me super encanta la mecanica pero se me complica mucho estoy empesando y estoy recopilando informacion en algunos libros y demas .ya k mi situacion no es muy buena ultimamente nesesito tratar por otro lado , y pues ahi voy despacio pero voy muchas gracias de nuevo k estes bien ......saludos!!!!!!!!

amigo tienes que chequear los cables de la vavula, que no esten pisados, o rosando de una parte caliente; (tienes un corto), trata de uvicarlo. saludos....

ok amigo te comento k no veo ningun cable a la valbula solo llega una manguera de bacio en la parte de arriba .te agradeseria si me pudieras explicar mas detalladamente de donde o por donde puedo buscar xk cables creo k llegan al sensor de la EGR..gracias x tu ayuda amigo......

hola buen dia consulte y el 455 marca fugas en el sistema de control de emisiones evaporativa ( fuga abundante) puede ser que tengas alguna manguera rota espero que sea de ayuda otra opcion seria revisar el EVAP que requiere de limpieza lleva dos mangueras conectadas al tubo de la EGR y un conector esun cuadro espero me haya explicado y algo te sirva salu-2 ...

para el codigo de falla 455 lo primero que debes de cambiar es el tapon del tanque de gasolina. Porque es un gross leak osea un fuga de emisiones grande un 99% de las veces cuando es un gross leak es el tapon.Ojala te sirva de algo mi comentario.bye gracias

Technical Description

Insufficient EGR Flow

What does that mean?
EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It is part of the vehicle emmissions system, and is used to reduce combustion temperature and pressure to control Oxides of Nitrogen. There are generally three parts to the EGR system: the EGR valve, an actuator solenoid, and a differential pressure sensor EGR (DPFE). These things work together to deliver the correct amount of recirculation based on engine temperature, load, etc. The P0401 code means that OBD detected an insufficient amount of EGR.

Symptoms
You may notice drivability problems such as pinging (a.k.a. pre-ignition knock) when the engine is under load or the vehicle is at higher speeds. There may also be other symptoms.

Causes
A code P0401 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:

The DPFE (differential pressure feedback EGR) sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
There is a blockage in the EGR (tube), most likely carbon buildup
The EGR valve is faulty
The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vaccuum
Possible Solutions
In fixing this code, it is quite common for people to just replace the EGR valve only to have the OBD code return. The EGR valve is not always the culprit.

-Use a vacuum pump and pull the EGR valve open while monitoring engine RPM's & DPFE voltage. There should be a noticable difference in RPM's with the EGR open
-Clean out the EGR valve and/or tubing to remove deposits
-Check the voltage at the DPFE, compare to specified values (refer to a
repair manual for your specific model)
-Replace the DPFE sensor (with a good quality / OEM one)
-Replace the EGR valve

- Possible a noticeable fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors
Possible Causes
- Missing Fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- Incorrect fuel tank vacuum relief valve
- Leak is in line between intake
Possible Solution
- Retight or replaced fuel tank filler cap
- Replaced damage or leaking EVAP canister

Vehicles that meet enhanced evaporative requirements utilize a vacuum-based evaporative system integrity check. The evap system integrity check uses a Fuel Tank Pressure Transducer (FTPT), a Canister Vent Solenoid (CVS) and Fuel Level Input (FLI) along with the Vapor Management Valve (VMV) or Electric Vapor Management Valve (EVMV) to find 0.040” diameter or larger evap system leaks. Federal vehicles can utilize a 0.040" leak check rather than the 0.020" leak check required for California vehicles.

When is the code detected?
EVAP control system has a very large leak such as fuel filler cap fell off, EVAP control system does not operate properly.
